Gazebos and Structural

This picture is looking at the high side of the building. Gusset, I-beam, kickers were welded in to help support the main roof truss. Because the snow load was so heavy the I-beam truss spanning the roof bowed down, this is why the 1/2"x6" flat was welded into the I-beam.
Picture shows the low side of the building. Tubing gussets were welded in (not as big as the high side because of clearance problems). Notice the small gussets on the each of the purlins. Gussets were welded on the back sides because purlins would want to fail towards the down-hill side, this stops that and puts tension on the truss.
